Matcha Avocado Smoothie Bowl
Start the new year with a fresh healthy breakfast! Each ingredient in this smoothie will help the body perform and feel better. Start your day with a huge dose of protein, fibre, antioxidants, superfoods and ingredients to aid in digestion and detox. This is another wonderful recipe by our good friend, Carla Riley.

Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon of Kato Matcha Powder
- ½ Cup Milk of Choice (we used unsweetened almond milk)
- 1 Tablespoon of Cold Pressed Liquid Coconut Oil
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey
- 1 Cup Frozen Banana Slices or 1 Medium Frozen Banana
- 1 Small Avocado or ½ of a Large Avocado
- 1 Handful of Spinach
Toppings:
- Fresh Pineapple
- Frozen Banana Slices
- 1 Teaspoon of Flaxseed, hemp hearts, cocao nibs
- 2 Tablespoons of Almonds or nut of choice
Preparation:
- Add the following into blender in this order: milk, coconut oil, honey, banana slices, avocado. Blend until smooth. Texture should be thick and creamy
- Add spinach, Kato matcha and blend until perfectly incorporated
- Put smoothie mixture into the freezer to maintain texture
- Cut fruit into thin slices, chop nuts, mix flax seeds, hemp hearts, and cacao nibs together into a small bowl
- To assemble the smoothie bowl pour your blended Matcha mixture into a dish of choice, then add fruit and sprinkle the healthy superfood mixture as desired
