Kato Matcha Spring Harvest

From the Katō Family in Uji, Kyoto to your cup. This is a perfectly smooth ceremonial grade spring harvest from the finest growing region in Japan.

The spring harvest is regarded as the highest quality with very little astringency. It has a strong umami flavour with a delicate sweetness. The Katō Matcha Spring is such high quality that it drinks perfectly on its own as a tea.

Preparation:
1) Sift* half a teaspoon of Katō Matcha Spring into a preheated vessel
2) Add 1oz of 75ºC water
3) Whisk to create a consistent level of foam
4) Top up with desired amount of hot water
*the sifting process is not crucial, it simply helps break up the tea evenly and ensures a more consistent Matcha paste

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS

By far the best matcha I have ever had! I have already bought 2 more. I had tried the spring harvest first and really enjoyed it, but after tasting the summer harvest, I can't go back.

Best match I have ever had

I have had many different types of match in my life time. I used to get mine from a well-known tea company. I stumbled about this brand and I am glad I did. There is no comparison. I am already on my second tin of this. I will continue to purchase!

Excellent matcha latte

I use both the spring and summer matchas to make delicious lattes with my Breville Milk Cafe frother. My daily latte is made with the summer harvest. If I want a treat, i use the spring harvest. Taste is similar although the spring harvest is a bit smoother. Just on taste alone, I'm not sure one is better than the other. Where the spring harvest shines is on the amount of froth it makes. There is a lot and it lasts a long time. It's a pleasure to drink!
